Hennikers & Guston Holsteins
Having made the long trip over to Dover it was a pleasure meeting Trevor Warren and his family who run two pedigree herds of Holsteins under the prefix of Hennikers & Guston Holsteins.
Joclassic, a high GTPI and RZG sire from Masterrind was selected by Trevor to help input milk and strength into the herd. He had also used his full brother Josuper at the time. Josuper was a little more in demand on release of these two sires due to his elite ranking on milk and GTPI in the US; However having compared the daughters of both bulls, Trevor thinks that the Joclassic’s are better heifers commenting that they are cleaner through the leg, ooze balance throughout and look extremely promising underneath.

Ventonian Holsteins
Based in North Devon the Ventonian prefix is run by Tracey and David Grigg, along with their two young daughters, Julia and Joanna. Julia and Joanna are developing a keen interest in the cows, having shown various animals through the summer months. This 200+ head pedigree herd is currently on Mastergen’s Mating Service (MMS). David has focused the breeding more towards feet and legs, milk quality and udder traits to suit his robotic system. Its a pleasure to see some of Dairy Daughter’s most popular bulls siring some of the best daughters in this herd. And now it’s a pleasure to look over the early Mastergen daughters coming through.
Mozarella is a great value Mogul son who is bred to make ideal udders to suit robotic systems with positive teat length and ideal rear teat placement. His early daughters have impressed our customers from all over the UK and he is a bull who is still in extremely high demand.

Several bull mothers have been classified in the last couple of months including the Dam of Mozarella who was our top selling bull of 2015, his Dam WEU Cameo recently calved out for her 4th lactation and was classified EX92-2E just three weeks fresh!

Festival is an early Alta1stclass son from the Lila Z cow family. His Dam recently classified VG87 in her first lactation. She is sired by Supersire and looks a tremendous bull mother in the making!
