However, we are aware that there are times when that bit extra is needed by our clients – and now we can offer this as an optional ‘add-on’ by teaming up with well-known and respected Farm Animal Vet, Sally Wilson BVMS DBR MRCVS of Evolution Farm Vets.

Sally is the founding partner of Evolution Farm Vets, based in the heart of Somerset. The majority of Sally’s time is spent vetting for high-input, successful dairy farms – and she is now available, through Mastergen, to attend your farm for either a half or a full day to give an in-depth, experienced opinion on any veterinary- or fertility-related problem that you may be experiencing.

A holder of the Diploma in Bovine Reproduction and with an understanding of business-needs born of running her own successful practice, Sally takes pride in helping farmers to improve herd health and fertility, and thus their profitability.

This service is tailored to your specific requirements but usually includes:

•  Initial chat by phone to identify the areas which you feel are the main problems
•  Sharing of any data or farm records for review prior to the visit
• Farm visit-This will be tailored to your needs but will include a general walk around, look at set-up, buildings, milking cows, dry cows, youngstock and calves
• Identification of main problem areas and discussion and advice on potential solutions
• Follow up written report and phone support as required

Often, a fresh, enthusiastic pair of eyes is it all it takes!
